Vernon L. Fox III is an accomplished multi-talented individual gifted in a number of areas. He is best known for his athletic prowess and contributions to the world of football, but that is not where his talents end.
Vernon, born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, graduated with honors from Cimarron-Memorial High School in the top 10% of his graduating class. After high school, Vernon went on to Fresno State University where his academic excellence continued making him a perennial “Academic All-WAC” student-athlete and later an “Academic All-American”. In 2001, the National Football Foundation and the College Hall of Fame recognized Vernon as a “National Scholar Athlete” and semifinalist for the Draddy Trophy. This prestigious honor is only given to 16 collegiate student-athletes each year and the winner is awarded the “Academic Heisman”.
Vernon embodies a man with proper priorities: Faith, Family, and Career. Vernon has served in ministry for over 10 years and in the capacity of a minister since 2008. His desire to help others is driven by his calling and passion for the ministry. Vernon has spoken at numerous churches, small groups, schools, and organizations all over the country. His status during his time as an NFL player opened many doors for Vernon, but his charismatic and gifted personality along with abilities has kept many of them open. His story of trial and achievement translates all areas from faith-based, to community-based, and even corporate-based sectors. His exhilarating and dynamic speaking style has been described as “inspirational with the ability to motivate.”
