Rick Alonzo, born in the Philippines, came to live in the United States at the age of 12. Rick uniquely and creatively proclaims the Gospel message to a generation stimulated by sight and sound. He travels across the United States working with Christian organizations and evangelical churches of all denominations to reach the lost for Jesus Christ.
Rick’s ministry, Art in Motion, combines his talents as a painter with contemporary music and movement to offer an artistic presentation of Christ unlike any other. Athletic, rhythmic and relevant, his performance engages and spiritually motivates audiences of all ages and from all walks of life with a universal and beautiful language all its own.
Rick has spoken at youth pastor conventions, youth camps and conferences and for countless youth groups. He has ministered through street evangelism, church services, Christian school assemblies and television programming, including TBN's Leon Patillo Show and other cable programs. Rick has been privileged to perform in the secular arena as well. In public school assemblies, he shares words of hope, love and racial reconciliation. Rick’s art is also displayed in homes and churches around the world.
Rick visits juvenile halls to counsel hurting youth and has also taken part in Special Olympics ceremonies, half-time shows, various festivals and special programs at shopping malls. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Josh McDowell, Sandi Patti, as well as teachers, principals, pastors and Christian leaders across the nation have endorsed Rick, and he has worked alongside such Christian artists as the Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Jaci Velasquez and others.
Rick’s passion is to share the Gospel to whomever and wherever the Lord chooses to lead him. In his testimony, he says, “Every hardship I’ve overcome was in preparation for God’s work. God also told me to use my fingers to illustrate the Gospel through music and to incorporate these natural gifts with it.” Rick’s presentation promises a dramatic, exceptionally memorable experience for all.
