Michael Hyatt is the former Chairman and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers, the seventh largest trade book publishing company in the U.S. Michael worked in a variety of roles in both divisional and corporate management before becoming CEO in 2005.
Michael is a trusted voice on leadership, productivity, publishing, and social media. He has written eight books, two of which landed on the New York Times bestseller list. His most recent one is Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World. In addition to the New York Times bestseller list, it hit the Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller lists.
Michael has been married to his wife, Gail for thirty-four years. They have five daughters, five grandsons, and three granddaughters. Michael and Gail live outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
In his free time, he enjoys writing, reading, running, and golfing. He is a member of St. Ignatius Orthodox Church in Franklin, Tennessee, where he has served as a deacon for twenty-seven years.
