Chuck McAlister, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, is the founder and host of the hunting program, AdventureBound Outdoors (ABO) which he launched in 1996. The program pioneered outdoor programs and won 4 national awards. It was twice given the Fan Favorite Award on the Outdoor Channel. Chuck is also a recognized author, having written four books, including Adventures in God’s Country, a collection of hunting stories.
Chuck attended Clemson University and was a distinguished military graduate. He went on to serve with distinction in the United States Army and was decorated for service in the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.
Chuck has served in leadership positions and on the boards of numerous national organizations, including pastoring for over 35 years; serving on various committees for the Southern Baptist Convention, Arkansas Baptist Convention, and the International Mission Board; Global Baptist Response; He also launched the program Adventure Bound Outdoors and is the founder of Promise of Hope Ministries.
As an Army veteran he continues to minister to vets and present military personnel on and off the field.
Chuck has been married to Janice, who is also an avid hunter, for 40 years. They have 2 sons and three beautiful granddaughters.
